" Actually there were several anormalities that we saw in these patients" she continued, "One was a voluminous amount of cell debris". "Right from the time we seperated and stained the cells we saw a lot of debris" she said. " Just broken apart cells, pieces of cells and platelets. And we don't see that in anything else that gets sent to us. Now, naturally with everything that is sent to us, the people are sick, and most of them have cancer - leukemia, lymphoma - but we didn't see this kind of debris except in these patients." This is a very specialised blood test, recommended by Dr. Majid Ali. The following abnormalities are commonly found in most ME patients

(1) a large number of dead and dying red and white blood cells

(2) pine needle-like forms of solidified blood plasma (fibrin needles)

(3) minute curdles of blood plasma (microclots)

(4) irregular masses clotted plasma with entrapped damaged blood cells (microplaques)

(5) clumped platelets

(6) excessive numbers of bacteria

(7) overgrowth of peculiar yeast-like microbes

These findings suggest a high level of oxidative damage, poor blood circulation and blood oxygenation, and bacteria and yeast infections.

Also test for Erythrocyte sedimentation rate. The rate is usually very low or zero in ME patients. Canadian clinician Byron Hyde reported in the fall 1989 issue of his newsletter to sufferers, “To my knowledge, there are only five diseases that have a pathological low sedimentation level: myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME also called CFS), sickle-cell anemia, hereditary sperocytosis, hyper-gammaglobulinemia, hyper-fibrogenemia.”
